Yangdong is the biggest traditional village that inherited culture of Chosun and beautiful environment. As the colony of two clans, namely, the Wolseong Sohn and Yeogang Lee, the village has so many cultural assets from National Treasures, Treasures, and Folklore materials. Even the village itself is registered as cultural asset (Important Folklore Material No. 189), and for its beautiful surroundings and pastoral atmosphere, Prince of Wales visited the village in 1993.
