"Into the Storm" Filming Site

If you go towards Jukbyeon Port in Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do, you will see a magnificent view that looks like a painting of a European scenery.  The place is so beautiful that will surely make someone utter nothing but "Wow!"

This place used to be a filming set of a Korean drama, "Into the Storm".  After a year long renovation process, it has taken a new look which is even more beautiful than it was before.  The building standing by the cliff was a filming set which supposed to be the fisherman's house.

It is possible to explore the interior of this building from 9:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening.  On the first floor, a tour map of Uljin is being displayed; while on the seconf floor, are the photos of the cast of characters of the drama "Into the Storm" such as, Song Yuna, Kim Min-Joon, etc.  Aside from the SBS drama, "Into the Storm", an episode of the popular reality TV Show, Two Days and One Night (1박2일) was also filmed here.  The heart-shaped beach that can be seen from afar is also popular.

Based on its etymology, Jukbyeon means "a village on the tip of a bamboo forest". And this Juknyeon Drama Filming Set is right above the Jukbyeon Lighthouse which is located at the tip of Jukbyeon Port. The view from the lighthouse is another jaw-dropping scenery that one would not want to miss when visiting Uljin.

The beautiful church neary suits well with the mysterious beauty of the place.

There is a walking trail in between the Fisherman's House and Jukbyeon Lighthouse.  Because of the bamboo forest, the breeze in this area is cooler which makes the stroll a lot more enjoyable.  This bamboo forest trail is also known as the "Dragon's Dream Path".  From the drama filming location, it takes about 20 minutes to get to the Lighthouse.

If you walk through the walking trail from the drama filming location, there is a path that leads to the shore. There is also a weel-built wooden deck. From the deck you can enjoy the beauty and the soothing sound of the waves hitting the shore.
